She slept under a starry sky - original painting

£249

A shamanic figure sleeps under a a starry sky and full moon, her head leaning on a sleeping bear.  The symbol of the labyrinth is on his the bear's back. A labyrinth, unlike a maze, has only one path, leading from the entrance to the centre and out again in one direction. Often  carved on Stone Age monuments such as Stone henge, the labyrinth symbol represents the soul's journey into the centre of the uterine underworld and its return toward rebirth.

Original painting size including frame-  40cm x 45cm
